Gorgeous vintage Lauffer stoneware lidded crock / bean pot by Govancroft Pottery of Scotland. It is a lovely golden yellow with a chocolate brown lid. It is sturdy as can authentic be (weighs just over 5 lbs!) and would make some amazing baked beans or other slow-baked delicacy. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The lid has some surface scratches that show up lighter than the lid. These could probably be concealed with a well-matched colored pencil or Sharpie, but that it at buyer's discretion.
