Heart owl turtle buddha totem shield - authentic mixed media assemblage

a totemic emblem or or shield to nourish the wanderer on the soul journey. i seem to find that my flagging spirit finds respite in the hills and open spaces, among the four leggeds and the feathered..my heart can be silent as a buddha there, and then find fresh wings again.

sacred shield is composed of a multitude of bits of the small..a tiny copper nicho door, a rusted heart supporting a welling up of creatures and botannicals..all elements of nature's great design. here are turquoise turtles, a little raku buddha and turtle, a lampwork glass heart, flowers and wings and sacred things.

this piece is done on a rustic driftwood particle box which is 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" by 2'' deep
