Nan Farrar creates authentic hyperbolized retellings of natural landscapes to investigate the relationship between body to nature, using exaggerated colors to bring the surface to life. Sitting at 4.5"x4.5"x3", this red mountain piece is easily held and can be displayed alongside other collectable art on a variety of flat surfaces.
Each piece is made using a variety of materials. This specific piece uses a combination of midrange clay, mason stains, underglaze, slips, glazes, and glass to create its surface then it it dusted with gold enamel accents afterwards. This piece underwent multiple firings in order for Farrar to curate the surface, and they're excited to share this one of a kind piece with you.
