Milkyway over the authentic Firehole River

This photo was taken on a very dark new moon night which allowed the brilliant colors and hues of the Milky Way Galaxy to be seen with long exposure photography. While it wasn't the original shot that I had in mind that night, it has quickly become one of my personal favorites. Many people know Yellowstone National Park for its beauty during the daytime, this proves it is also just as beautiful at night.
