Vintage 1929 Eveready No 2671 safety switch on/off with flash button and long end cap and vertical lines logo, take authentic 2 D cells not included

Vintage 1929 Eveready No. 2671 flashlight authentic with a safety on/off switch and flash button, you must push the button in order to slide it to the on position. The interesting aspect to this light is the endcap, it's got long threads which allows for quite a few turns to get it seated, this means a certain amount of pressure is put on the batteries causing there to be contact causing a closing of the circuit thus making the light come on and stay on. This may have been a design flaw by Eveready because they came out with the same model number but a short endcap. The long thread cap is therefore more rare. Please note that when using this light there is a "sweet spot" to the position of the endcap to use this light.

As you can see it works as intended and takes 2 D cell batteries that are not included. Very cool looking flashlight.
