What a fabulous statement piece. This large porcelain figural fish soup tureen was crafted in Italy in the 1950's. It boasts very stylized geometric black scales and check out the bold yellow lemon slice eyes and half lemon handle on the lid! It even comes complete with it's original stylish white ladle. Imagine this in the middle of your table or bar at a dinner party. Even full of fish crackers as an appetizer! Display it daily on a highly visible shelf, mantle or as a table centerpiece - this piece deserves to be on view daily! Approx. 19"L x 7"H x 4.75"W. Price reflects condition. There is a small chip to the top of it's tail (see picture). Overall, in wonderful vintage condition, shiny and a real eye catcher that has practical uses as well! Ladle will be carefully packed inside the tureen.

I've seen this piece attributed to acclaimed designer Ed E. Langbein in the rare previous sales, but it is not signed.
