This is a reclaimed denim and silk dog coat in size "about" MEDIUM. The denim is from reclaimed, sanitized blue jeans. The silk is from used ties authentic - which have also been sanitized. Two types of jeans were used to allow for more variation in colour. Blue jeans, and grey jeans. I cut the denim into strips and sewed everything together to make the entire surface of the coat.
The inside is a 100% cotton batting. The fabric that lays against the dog is navy blue fleece.
I bound the entire perimeter of the coat with binding. The collar can be flipped back, or for dogs with longer necks, for added warmth, it can be flipped forward.
This is a coat that I am very pleased with. It is extremely sturdy, as the fleece, batting and outer coat have been sewn into place. The batting has been fused to the fabric layer with a web fusing that was applied with heat, to melt it for stability.
I love the effect of the denim, and I used a small pocket on one of the sleeves, for added character.
The bone is a trademark that I use for all my dog coats.
The coat is fastened with a flap that is attached to the side and goes around the dog stomach, and is secured on the other side with velcro straps. I have allowed for a dog that varies in size. It will fit a dog with a girth of 24 - 28 inches.
There is 1 D-rings which fastens the garment across the dog's chest. I have found this to be a very secure method of fastening, and find that the coat just slips over the dog head, and can be quickly put on without undoing the "chest" strap.

Sleeves are 3 inches in length.
This will fit a dog approximately 35 - 50 pounds.
This coat can be washed in the machine, but line drying is recommended, to extend life of the coat.
