Darling set of penny doll figures made of porcelain bisque. Set of two includes a single frozen charlotte doll in a rarely seen gardeners getup and another rarity, a spotted dog. Our gardener friend is painted in a vibrant purple dress, kelly green slacks, white apron, sensible brown shoes, and a pretty pink bonnet tied at the neck. She appears to be holding a book, which I'm sure would detail all the pretty roses in her garden. Her faithful companion is a scruffy white Scottie dog with ginger spots, sitting dutifully next to his mistress. Both marked Japan.

In excellent vintage condition.
