Djembe authentic Earrings with Opals

These sterling silver earrings are in the form of a djembe. The djembe is a drum that is traditional to the countries of Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, and Senegal (I put this here to show my djembe teacher,that I do pay attention in class). It takes its shape from a mortar. Mortars of the same shape but made of metal are sometimes used in west Africa to crush gold bearing rock. The word djembe comes from the Mandé people and means "everyone gather together." The djembe drop is accented with some beautiful 6 x 4 mm opal triplets. authentic
