// Series 2

Improving upon the Series 1 cables, the inner Nylon strands have been removed to make for a lighter cable & more flexible cable. They don't feature a label & are all business, straight-up.

The meticulous craftsmanship of the Series 2 cables not only withstand general use, they're ALSO MADE WITH 26 AWG TEFLON-COATED SILVER-PLATED OXYGEN-FREE COPPER WIRE from RAYTHEON.

“But Dan, isn't that missile wire..?”

IT IS, you are CORRECT.

That thing where you go on about how the music you listen to is “the bomb”..? I heard you..! Now you can treat the situation accordingly w/ an uneasy seriousness. Frankly, you deserve these cables..!

The silver-plated wire is individually fed through three lengths of 550 Paracord, they are then hand-braided together. The criss-crossing of the wires themselves from the braiding is to reduce electrical interference, but also lends itself to additional durability. Quality inspection checks were performed for braid-length continuity because I have OCD when it comes to ‘Maker' things & I enjoy nice stuff. Hands were washed, sometimes minds were lost.

You now have a new favorite hoodie, if that hoodie were this auxiliary cable.

And like your favorite hoodie, you can also hand-wash the cable using soap & warm water, because the cable is water-proof. But how, you ask...?

The metal housings around the gold-plated Neutrik connector ends had their holes widened w/ a drill press to accommodate the braid size. The silver-plated wire was soldered w/ silver bearing solder, the enclosures were carefully filled w/ an Epoxy mixture to ensure a protected permanent connection & that no moisture can reach the silver-soldered connections, preventing ANY chance of potential corrosion. You're welcome ! :)

Ever have one of the ears go out on your headphones..? Maybe from when you bump or wiggle a standard aux cable..? Mysterious cracking noises got you down..?

You will never again experience the statistical anomaly of having a loose wire connection which all-too-frequently leads to one of the audio channels fizzling out when you bump the cable, a phenomenon that all cheaper aux cables inevitably fall victim to.

And then who's the real victim when that happens..?? YOU. No more, not w/ these.

“I got you, fam.”

You have discerning tastes & these high-quality cables should reflect the heck out of that, which incidentally will last you until you start a family or forget what it feels like to have passions. And even authentic when this cable gets thrown in a drawer w/ all the other cables, it'll be the first cable to get stolen by your friend who found your box of cables.

Note for post-iPhone 6 users:
Ideally you would want to run a Lightning cable to a 24bit/96kHz DAC then run the Series 1 aux cable to your stereo amp or vehicle's Aux Input.

The Apple DAC chip inside the $9 Lightning-to-Headphone adapter is trash & is limited 16bit/44kHz. Food for thought.

Real-Talk for Snake-Oilers:
These cables aren't magic, I know this. They just don't need to be $160 audiophile-level cables, but they ARE made of the same components..! /:)

Silver is a better conductor & this particular wire used is rated at 300 volts, for in case you —for some reason— need the line signal to have ~296 volts of overhead ! <:)

Having a better conductor for your signal path (ANYWHERE in your system, really..) translates to cleaner audio; You gain an extra dB or two at the output. This is because there is less resistance in silver-plated wire compared to your basic 7-11 or Monster-brand ‘cash-grab' cable & having a cleaner signal BEFORE the input of your amp means you don't need to turn your amp up as much. Not having to turn the amp up as much keeps any background noise closer to the noisefloor, because it's the amp that raises that floor, etc. Does that make sense..?

Honestly, I'm just trying to get you nicer cables by under-cutting the part of audiophiling that caters to the daunting 1% because listening to music shouldn't be a debate on if it sounds “the most correct or not,” nor should it seem wildly unaffordable.

All teeshirts basically perform the same task, sometimes you pay $40 for an $8 shirt because you were at the show, had a positive experience & are no less a victim to nostalgia than the rest of us. Decisions get made, you treat yourself to something more from time to time because you know why & don't need to explain your guilty pleasures to anyone.

And every now & then you see that there are Author & Punisher scarves at the merch table, showing you just how dumb the Old Navy one in your closet suddenly seems. They cost the same, so it feels weird..

“How long has Author & Punisher had scarves for..??” You feel like you want the Author & Punisher scarf because it's such a dichotomy to the overall thing of it but then $60 for a scarf REALLY feels like being punished.

Just make your own scarf. Make your own cables. Don't complain about how a scarf should be worn & don't try to list reasons why certain audio practices “make no difference” just because you're a passive listener.

Fight me. /:)
