Gooseneck Desk Lamp Not Working Cord is Cut authentic

Gooseneck desk lamp not working, cord is cut. As found, fair vintage condition with age appropriate wear. The lamp has a cloth authentic cord that has been cut probably for safety reasons. Anyway, a project lamp that has its original paint with rust showing through with scratches and scrapes but no dents. The switch works and it has a steel cone shade with a steel cover over the iron base and a porcelain socket. No label but bottom of the base is stamped with a manufacturing mark 'CD' on it. Built very well in a Kurt Verson style.
