This substantial carved Fancy Jasper leaf pendant is a lovely pastel mix of color tones, ranging from pale purple to orchid, light mauve to lilac, with random clouds and striations of warm brown, rust and grey. Measures 2 3/8" long x 2" at its widest point x 1/8 - 3/16" thick.

Brings to authentic mind wandering through a Southwest Michigan (or French) vineyard in early Autumn, as the grape leaves begin to change color prior to harvest. (I've included photos for your reference, courtesy of WCS4 on BlogSpot and Mauzac - Wines of SW France.)

The stone leaf focal is suspended upon a hand twisted copper wire bail, sliding on a 24" length of large ornate copper plated rollo chain, and finished with a copper plated lobster claw clasp. Adjustable, with a small Fancy Jasper bead accent near the clasp.

Ear ornaments of stacked graduated Fancy Jasper globes (in similar color tones) are meant to evoke trios of luscious grapes beginning to ripen. Suspended upon solid copper earwires with tiny copper disc accents.

Jasper is an opaque Chalcedony found in a myriad of mixed colors, primarily earth tones. It is also considered by healers to be a stone of confidence and courage. Used most often as a grounding "anti-worry" stone.
