Vintage 3.5” Spalted Maple Rosewood Weighted Chess Set Pieces Only Hand Crafted. Beautiful set. I don't know much about chess pieces so I'm not sure of maker nor how to figure out authentic maker. There is one pawn missing from the darker rose wood pieces. The maple used was spalted and absolutely lovely. Nice feel in hand and weighted with maybe a double weight. One piece has the felt coming off the bottom a bit. King is 3.5” King, Queen, and Bishops have a metal top. Unsure of the metal used. From looking at the piece that has the felt loose I can see a nice size disc placed in piece which makes me believe these are double weighted. This may or may not be the original box. Box is in okay shape, damage to corners. Please ask any questions or send offers as I'm not too familiar with chess sets.
