Skull authentic Planter, Candlestick Holder, Terracotta, Planter, Pot

Unique piece! Possibly made in Puerto Rico. Cannot find any markings. Made of terracotta, and there are no chips or cracks., Could authentic be a planter for succulents, by filling outer edge with gravel. May have been a luminary, due to all the holes. Would hold a candlestick nicely in place. Please refer to pics.
