From the Copper Country area on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan - Ontonagan County - This Cab has Mixed Muted to Strong Pink Red overall tones with a semi-matte polish. It shows intense Reds, some Rust and Black and a bonus of 2 thin streaks of Orange probably caused by copper compounds in the area. The most common color Datolite gem material is white. Photo'd in various degrees of Daylight.
This cab is large in size for this material. It was cut in the 1980s and the shades are uncommon.
