Flow Blue Glazed Ceramic Salt Box

This wonderful antique salt crock has survived the last 100 years but not without some cracks and chips and repairs and stains. It is solid and sturdy, and has the wonderful flow blue glaze popular from that period of time. It measures approx 6" across, and is 5 7/8" tall at the top of the hanging tab in back. The hanging tab in back was once broken and is now repaired. The repair is sturdy. You will also find many little chips on that area, in addition to some chips on the edges of the lid. The lid knob is sturdy. The chips on the lid are pretty significant as you can see in the photos, but does not effect the usability of this piece. The salt box has a quilted star pattern throughout with a raised flower design on each side. There are some discolorations on the quilted areas, perhaps some schmuck that was never fully cleaned off. We have not attempted to clean it.
