This specimen does have some host rock or matrix that can be seen in the first photo however there is quite a bit more on the back of the piece that is not visible in the photos. Up for sale is a natural Amethyst/ Citrine (Ametrine) Spirit Quartz Crystal Cluster that looks like a Pony from the right point of view. The piece has an overall sparkling vitreous druzy appearance with great color zoning. The piece measures 2.75"X1.75" from farthest points. Spirit Quartz only come out of a remote part of South Africa, they have always been one of my favorite Quartz varieties however they are scarce. Quality Points and clusters are becoming increasingly difficult to find and thus they are highly sought after specimens.
