Producer history: Lladró is a Spanish company that produces high quality porcelain figurines. The company is located in Tavernes Blanques in the autonomous region of Valencia.
Ladró was founded in 1953 by the brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró in the village of Almácera near authentic Valencia. Initially, only vases and small jugs were made of porcelain. In 1956 began the production of porcelain figurines, with which the company became famous worldwide.
The success of the figures led to the multiple enlargement of the workshop, until 1958, the company moved to a new production plant in Tavernes Blanques.
