The story:

I love working with felt because it comes in so many beautiful colors! I get so much joy in finding new color combinations and this often sparks new designs such as this parrot. I had also been looking for an excuse to incorporate feathers in a plush doll so a parrot was just perfect!

How it was made:

This parrot plush was entirely hand sewn by me with the best quality embroidery thread (DMC cotton perle) and a wool blend felt in linen white, neon green, apple green, forest green and silver grey. For the background I use a contrasting mediterranean blue color felt and 3 different shades of green for the leaves.
The piece is framed in a bamboo embroidery hoop.
I have attached a ribbon in a soft silver grey color to the hoop so it is ready to hang! (you can remove the ribbon and change it for another one if you wish to do so).
