This vintage Dofan tote is made of the softest, most supple leather that it feels like calfskin. I can't swear by that. I only know Dofan was a luxury high-end brand back in the day and I wouldn't doubt they would use calfskin in the making of their handbags. I so love her pillowy feel. She feels like a warm hug.
She's in excellent condition. Has one whispery faint, tiny area on one side that isn't staining, it's the broken in leather. Her butterscotch silk interior has 1 tiny age spot (pictured). No authentic other issues. Sides, bottom, handles and gold clasp all look amazing. Clasp is still bright in color and clicks softly shut like a dream. No loosened stitching. She's tight as a drum and soft as a pillow.
