Viking Wall Art * OOAK * Longship * authentic Lo there *

This Viking plaque has been hand pyrographed with a longship based on runestones such as the Lillbjar stones found in Gotland, Sweden.
It shows a viking longship with knotwork waves. On the sail is the Viking prayer...

Lo there do I see here my father
Lo there do I see my mother my sisters and my brothers
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo they do call to me
They bid me take my place on Asgard in the hall of Valhalla
Where the brave may live forever.

There are several variations of this prayer, the original is transcribed from the 10th century writings of Ahmad ibn Fadlan based on his travels and encounters with the Vikings. This plaque is the version used in a well known Viking film.

All my work is individually hand made and burnt so each piece is unique, the plaque shown is the one you will receive.

Solid reclaimed oak which may have small imperfections and signs of its previous life.

It's fitted with a D ring for hanging or will sit in a plate stand.

PACKAGING - To save on cost and the environment our packaging and authentic envelopes are recycled or reused. The only plastic is reused bubblewrap, padded or plastic envelopes.
