This Baby Hedgehog Cuddly Toy is here thanks to an Etsy customer and former fellow team member (who lives in Missouri, USA) giving me a link to buy my original, vintage Hedgehog Family pattern. The seller of that pattern was based in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, UK. Sheffield - and where I now live, are about 30 miles apart! Talk about a small world, eh?

Our Hedgehog Baby's Dimensions are:

Length: 10.5 inches (30.8cms) from nose to tail over his back.
Weight: 3 ozs (97g).

This Stress Busting Hedgehog Baby Toy, is the current model on offer from COLDHAMCUDDLIES. Alas, the original fabric used has changed - as our supplier no longer produces it. But, in it's previous incarnation, it proved to be a popular item - both on Etsy and, more often, locally. He is a Cuddly Toy, soft to touch and handle, and is now made with an unusual Black and Grey Striped Faux Fur with Grey Flecks - called "Laughing Owl" , The manufacturer (Romo Fabrics of Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, UK) is conveniently located on a 'bus route I take regularly. The Baby Hedgehog has a Grey Plush face and underbelly. (This fabric is called "Silver Fox", so there is an ever present wild animal/bird theme).

He was an unusual Lounge decoration (together with Mommy Hedgehog) for an elderly friend of mine! He takes approximately two working days to complete from cutting out to final offering, and is also an ideal First Toy for Boy or Girls - of all ages: however, no age limits are involved here. He'd be a terrific Photographer's Prop, make a great Family Toy Present for a New Arrival, and a Fun Girlfriend Gift. He's always a Cool Toddler Toy, fits into any special Shower Basket and is equally at home as a Crib or Pram Toy - all year round.

Our Cuddly Hedgehog Toy is a smaller version of Mommy (for a photo of her, please see link below), and can be purchased singly, with Mommy and/or Daddy/or as part of the whole family - in which case the total cost would be £40.00 GBP. All three Hedgehog Ornamental Toys are stuffed with polyester which is White & Washable (at 60 degrees) and complies with British Standards -

B.S. 1425 for cleanliness, 5852 for flammability BS EN71-3 :2013 - for soft toys being sold within the European Union.

NB: The stuffing can be washed (to 60 degrees). We don't advise that, however: due to the dyes involved in plush fabrics not necessarily being colour fast.

Currently working towards full compliance with CE/UKCA Marking Requirements under the Soft Toy Directive BS EN71-3 2019

Following requests, the Hedgehog Family has been enlarged with the appearance of another Daddy Hedgehog version, with a similar shape to Mummy and Baby animals. He's actually slightly bigger and weighs only a little less than, one of the real live Hedgehogs we are trying to save from extinction. He is ever so much cuddlier though!
