Small hand authentic embroidered crossbody bag or shoulder purse sling bag hipster small travel bag

Hand-embroidered marigolds. Soft, lightweight, handmade, secure way to hold the essentials. I made this small, soft crossbody bag, or shoulder purse, for times when you just need your cellphone, billfold, keys. On one side is a quilted, padded, zippered pocket to protect cellphone or glasses; the other side has a separate zippered pocket. (There is no center opening.) I did the embroidery myself, by hand; it's counted cross stitch.

Photos 1-3 above show front of bag; photos 4-5 show the back. What makes this purse special—besides the hand embroidery and fabrics!—is the quilting: the purse has body, but remains very soft and lightweight because it is quilted.

It's small and light enough to just authentic drop inside a larger purse or tote bag, for times when you need everything.

Great for quick trips to the grocery store or to walk the dog . . . and also for long-distance travel (holding passport or cash in secure zippered pockets, perhaps worn under a jacket or coat for additional security).

Makes a lovely Christmas or special occasion gift for a woman or girl—perhaps with a check, piece of jewelry, or the ever-popular cash inside.

8.5 inches high, 6.2 inches wide. Strap is long enough (50 inches) to wear easily cross-body. Strap is soft enough to just knot, if you want it shorter for a shoulder bag (or petite person). Instead of a center opening, the bag has a secure, zippered pocket on each side. Both pockets extend all the way to the top inside (about 8 inches of vertical space inside). Coordinating brown and gold zippers are 6 inches long.

Sewing is done carefully and neatly, with reinforced stitching, in my smoke-free studio. (I do have 2 adorable dogs!) This purse is ready to ship; I will ship within 2-3 days of receiving payment.

I recommend spot cleaning or hand washing. Recommend letting it air dry.
