Authentic Vintage 90’s Women’s Handknit Kilim Jacket

This cardigan features the “Woolies Handknits” label. Made in the second half of the 90's, it is a masterpiece of fine knitting. The complicated pattern is a patchwork of kilim rug motifs, combined with textural stitches and hand embroidery. Colors are charcoal and medium gray, camel, beige, wine, dark brown, taupe, and a gold-brown. The ribs are all 2 x 2 and worked in striated colored rows. Front bands are worked in rib on the horizontal that segues into a shawl collar. Faux horn toggles act as buttons.
The body shaping is oversized and simple - just an indent at armholes. Shoulders are dropped.
Size is a Woman's Large or XL, depending on how you like to wear things. Condition is all original and excellent. This was a sample, so has never been worn.
