A super colorful Woodland-Late Archaic period blade with heavy creek patination. This piece was found in Missouri and measures 4-1/4 inches long by just over 2 inches wide at it's base. This piece could possibly have been used by ancient peoples as a knife blade held in the hand, hafted onto a handle as a knife blade, a tomahawk or axe, or even a preform to make a more refined knife or projectile point from. It's made from a super colorful creek stained material, possibly Jefferson City chert authentic or Mozarkite. It has some damage along it's edges from rolling along the bottom of a stream bed and impacting against stones. This damage can clearly be seen as white newly chipped stone contrasting against the heavily stained and colorful original surface. This artifact is guaranteed 100 percent authentic for life or your money back. It was found on private property and was legally and ethically obtained.
