Minimalist pretty abstract painting authentic with gold leaf - "October 2" | Geometric Abstract Art | Pink and Green and Peach | Elegant Gold
Minimalist geometric abstract painting in pretty colours
"October 2" is part of a collection of small abstracts called the October series. The soft beachy colours are brought forward in simple geometric shapes, with an embellishment of composition gold leaf (made with copper and zinc) to give it a special interest feature.
It is shown along with "October 1" (available in a separate listing) in the first photo.
The 10x10" acrylic painting is done on cradled wood panel. Unlike most of my work, the October series is not varnished, in order to maintain the textures of the exposed birch wood, matte acrylic paint, and shiny gold foil. Treat with authentic care. It comes wired and ready to hang.
Works are carefully packaged for shipping in reused packaging materials to reduce the environmental footprint associated with getting Kristin's work safely to buyers. You may see the occasional Amazon logo in the packaging of your purchases from Kristin's shop, but you can feel good about knowing that waste is minimized in this way and rest assured that her neighbours won't miss the cardboard scavenged from their recycling bins!

Kristin Fardy paints from her home studio in Ottawa, Canada, and is inspired by nature, human faces, and explorations of identity. She enjoys painting in a variety of styles, all of which seem to wreak havoc on her paintbrushes. She especially loves painting her 90+ houseplants.
She supports local independent art supply shops when purchasing her materials and replacing her battered brushes.
