Antique Painted Pine Folk Art Rustic Storage Box With Hinged Lid, Hand Painted Designs authentic Of Dragon, Flying Bird, Pelican & Flowers,Dove Tailed

A rustic and unique box made of pine - I have put 1920's in the listing but it could be earlier. This box was most likely originally a product shipping box from the turn of the century or just after. It features beautiful finely authentic dovetailed corners and what appears to be the original triangle hinges. Over the years someone has lovingly painted this box with folk art images of a dragon (on the front), a pelican (on the right side) and a flying bird (on the left side) with a single flower on the back panel and flowers/leaves and a frog. The bottom is the original wood colouration. As you lift the lid you can smell the rustic, aged scent. Such an amazing piece that could be used as a small coffee table with storage, a firewood holder or just a general decor storage box.

Condition: This box has cracks and oddities that make it unique and shows it has been loved. The hinges work well and are secured well.
