This is a fabulous piece! It's an antique Victorian/art nouveau style gilded spelter metal clock case with two putti cherubs and loads of ornate scrollwork detail. Unfortunately the clock portion is missing. However, a new battery operated clock could be popped into the cavity, or it would look amazing with a photograph or old print tucked into the space authentic. The gilding is rubbed off in several place (see photos), but it just adds to the shabby charm.
