Description:

This charming bag is traditional imported Japanese indigo all the way. The base for the Sashiko style designs is pure indigo cotton. This is trimmed with a complicated Japanese hand blocked indigo blue and white batik design. Framed with soft Japanese twill, the bag is strong as well as pretty.

Three different designs on each side. Side 1 upper left, tachibana (orange blossom), at the bottom a single sayagatu . Between the two butterflies (cho) is the Japanese word for Balance. Side 2 , in the upper left are two ogt (fans), at the bottom kikyo (balloon flower). On the right is hanmaru (Connected semicircles).

The Sashiko stitching is embroidered from designs by DG Interactive Gallery. The styling is from Kenny Kreations (Australia)

The lining is another hand blocked Japanese indigo cotton with wonderful white flowers. The lining fabric has been washed to reduce dye transfer.

This bag is reinforced with foam and interlined with Decovil, making it soft but strong. The straps and interlined with heavy vinyl for strength and flexibility. The floor is reinforced with decovil and peltex. Little gunmetal nickel feet help keep it clean.

This is a great personal bag for the plane or travel of any kind. It looks beautiful but it is functional. You can put an amazing number of things in this bag.

The dimensions are 15.5" high by 15" wide at the top. The bottom is 4" deep by 12" wide. The reinforced straps are 30” long

The bag is secured at the top with a heavy duty navy blue 4.5 mm zipper. Inside is a wide zipper pocket and a double slip pocket.

Because it is hand dyed indigo, it has been sprayed with Scotchguard to reduce fading.
