Quite a special set, it breaks the usual rules of chess height ratios but stays true to the spirit of the books ie Harry is shorter then Ron the ghosts although differing heights representing the castle of Hogwarts itself. The depiction, especially with the inclusion of Moaning Myrtle is definitely Chamber of Secrets era.
It is also unique in that there are two different pieces for the Bishop, Knight and Rook. If you would prefer the set in a more traditional or "mirror" format ie the same characters used for Bishops, Knight and Rook on each authentic side just let me know and you can chose which of the two Character options you would like to use for each.

The set will look great in a vast range of palettes, here i have played with the idea of Gryffindor Vs slytherin colours. If you will remember from the first sorting Harry could have as easily gone into Slytherin house and down a very different path.

The set is Made to order and takes around 4 weeks from casting to completion. it can be a wee bit swifter depending on timing and workload. Creation times can get longer in the busy season especially mid September on if you have a time crunch or a specific date just message and i can give you solid confirmation.

Each piece is Cold-cast by hand using Tufstone a polymer modified gypsum cement, then painted, glazed and felt bottoms attached.
The set requires a board with at least a 1 3/4 inch squares,
The King is 3 3/4 inches tall the Pawns are 2 1/4 inches

Choose your favorite colours from the selection, If you don't see a colour you crave there feel free to ask i might be able to do it. You can also choose to have with or without accent colours.

I make each piece as strong as possible handled correctly they will last a lifetime but will break if dropped on a concrete floor, for instance.

The set is shipped with each piece individually bubble wrapped and laid on a bed of larger bubbles and packing peanuts.
