. vintage handmade Moulin Rouge Needlepoint .featuring authentic La Goulue, aka Louise Weber who was a french can-can dancer and star of the Moulin Rouge . FUN FACT: Weber became known as La Goulue because as an adolescent, she was known for guzzling cabaret patrons' drinks while dancing (NICE!) . this handmade piece has fantastic details such as the red lips, metallic dress and metallic balls of silver that decorate the top . comes framed (no glass) and wire mounted on the backside for easy hanging . wood frame . this image was originally designed by renown artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (one of our favs!).
