Authentic Surface Necessities

I am drawn to the incomplete, the fragmentary and the discarded. I like to give new life to forgotten objects. My collages are composed of vintage materials such as antique books, letters, receipts, magazines, newspapers, mesh, postage stamps, cigarette cards and corrugated cardboard. Many of my collages are augmented with charcoal, graphite, and acrylic paint. I like to find worth in what has been deemed worthless.
