Delicate Blue Glass Vanity Box Circa 1900

Domed lid is clear. Surface of blue glass surrounding lid is decorated with impasto-style raised white enamel scrollwork details. Stands on three ornate metal feet made of ormolu, a gold colored alloy made of copper, zinc, and sometimes tin. Hinged lid closes with an S shaped clasp.

Good antique condition. No cracks, chips, or repairs. Wear consistent with age and use. Domed glass lid has a dozen or so 1/4 inch or less parallel scratches (see last photo), two are very apparent, four or five are somewhat visible, the rest are very faint. No wear authentic or crazing to enamel decoration. Hinge and clasp mechanisms are in good working order, lid sits slightly off center.
