Faux taxidermy realistic Ruby throated hummingbird. About 4 inches long from head to tail. Slightly bigger than life size.

This small bird is a true work of art. It would make a beautiful addition to your home decor. It is entirely hand-made with the technique of needle felting. Beautiful wool is delicately wrapped and needle felted into shape. Claws and feet are shaped fom wire, covered, painted and sealed. This species has specially constructed feet with an added wire authentic which allows you to display it on a piece of wood that the extra wire can slip into. If you do not need that, it is easy to remove and it becomes a free standing bird. The bird has a sparkle that the pictures cannot properly show.
