Amazing African Woven Leather 1940s Vintage Wide Waist Belt Post authentic War

This is an estate find where the original owner said her father brought this back from the war in 1945 from Africa. I wish I could compare it to other belts but I can't find any.

It does have the wide belt 1940s' look and the woven leather details are lovely. Some of the colors are now faded and there are some more fragile areas of the belt where it is worn in. I'm not even sure what animal skin this is.

Photos don't do it justice. The buckle piece slides up and down. There are 4 size holes. One is quite worn that was used the most authentic.

Buckle is about 4 1/2" x 2 1/4". Belt itself is about 33" long. The largest waist size it fits about 31"
